Client Success Story

Boylesports

Every digital screen in every shop — corporate LED and the full display estate, delivered, installed and supported across Ireland and the United Kingdom. Engineers based in six Irish cities, nationwide cover across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and a support line that never closes.

Why it matters

In a betting shop, the screens are the shop

This is not signage hung on a wall to look modern. It is the surface the entire business is transacted across.

Walk into a betting shop and almost everything a customer needs is on a screen — prices, runners, results, live pictures, offers. There is no printed fallback that carries the day if a wall goes dark. A failed display is not an inconvenience that gets logged and looked at next week; it is a section of the shop that has stopped working, in full view of every customer standing in it.

Two things follow from that. The screens have to be specified for continuous operation rather than office hours, because they are on from opening to closing every day of the year and the hardware is never given a rest. And the support behind them has to be built for uptime rather than for tickets, because the cost of a dark wall is counted in that afternoon’s takings and in what customers think of the brand on the way out.

Displays drive engagement and revenue. Downtime costs both. Everything below exists to keep the gap between those two as narrow as it can be made.

Digital display solutions

Four formats, one estate

High-impact digital screens across Ireland and the UK, handled end to end rather than handed between suppliers — from the window to the wall to the street.

Window screens

High-brightness displays facing the street, specified to stay readable through glass in daylight. The screen that decides whether somebody walks in.

Internal screens

Dynamic content, promotions and live information on the shop floor, changing through the day as the card and the offers change.

Video walls

Seamless large-format displays for high-impact viewing, built so the join between panels does not cut across what the customer is reading.

Outdoor LED

Weatherproof, high-visibility LED for maximum exposure, rated for Irish and British weather and bright enough to hold up in daylight.

Corporate LED

One estate, one look, every site

Corporate LED is a different discipline to a single feature screen. The job is consistency across hundreds of rooms that are not the same shape.

No two shops have the same wall. Ceiling heights differ, structural constraints differ, the position of the counter differs, and the available power differs. Yet a customer walking into one branch should see the same brand, at the same brightness, showing the same content, as a customer walking into another three hundred miles away.

Getting that right is survey work before it is installation work. Each site is measured, the layout is set against what the room can actually carry, and the specification is held constant so the estate reads as one thing rather than as a collection of local decisions.

Nationwide engineering coverage

Local engineers. Local stock.

Engineers based in six Irish cities, each holding buffer stock, so a failed unit is replaced out of a van rather than ordered from a warehouse.

Response times are meaningless without somebody within driving distance, and driving distance is meaningless without the right part already in the vehicle. Holding stock in six places across Ireland costs money, and it is the reason a fault becomes a call-out rather than a lead time.

Operational resilience

What happens when something fails

The commitments behind the estate, written out rather than implied.

Full lifecycle support

For the life of the estate, not the length of the install. Ongoing maintenance and servicing rather than a warranty that expires and leaves each shop to find its own engineer.

Minimal downtime

Uptime is the measure, not ticket volume. The estate is judged on how much of it is live at any moment, which is the number that actually matters to a shop manager.

No long delays for parts

Buffer stock held locally. Replacement hardware sits with the engineers rather than in a central warehouse, so a swap happens on the visit.

Designed for high uptime

Specified for continuous operation. Commercial-grade hardware rated for the hours a betting shop actually keeps, not for an office wall.

24-hour support

Phone and online, every day. Rapid issue resolution, because the cost of a dark screen is measured in that day's trading.

Continuous monitoring

Automated alerts straight to engineers. Faults are flagged to the people who will fix them, often before the shop has picked up the phone.

Proactive maintenance

Remote updates, checks and scheduled visits. Early fault detection catches degradation before it becomes a failure, which is how long-term stability is actually achieved.

Proven experience

We know what a retail betting floor demands

It is a harder room than it looks from the pavement.

Screens running open to close with no downtime window for maintenance. Sightlines that have to work from the door, the counter and the seating at the same time. Fit-outs where the cable route is the one that already exists, and shops that cannot be closed for a day to make life easier for an installer.

Knowing all of that before the first survey is the difference between an estate that runs quietly and one that generates a call-out every fortnight.

The result

Engineers on the ground, ready to respond

Delivering, installing and supporting high-impact digital screens across Ireland and the UK.

An estate of this size is only as good as the years after the last installation. The engineer network, the locally held stock, the monitoring and the round-the-clock support are what turn a large rollout into screens that stay live — and they are why the relationship covers everything rather than ending at handover.
