Stadium

Large-format screens brought onto a stadium pitch for an event — a ground turned into a venue without touching the permanent infrastructure.

The project

What the job was

Putting an event on a stadium pitch is a groundskeeping negotiation before it is a production one. Everything that goes on the grass has to spread its load, come off cleanly and leave the surface playable for the next fixture.

DSD supplied the screens and the ground-protection build for an event staged on the playing surface, sited to work for a bowl that sells seats on all sides rather than a single stage-facing crowd.

The stand keeps its own signage; the screens serve the event and then leave.
