Previous Work

Digital Infrastructure Ireland

Freestanding digital wayfinding through a multi-zone conference — which zone, which session, which way, updated as the programme moves.

At a glance

What the job involved, and what it had to work around.

The project

What the job was

A conference with breakout zones, poster sessions and parallel tracks generates a wayfinding problem that printed signage cannot keep up with. Sessions overrun, rooms swap, a speaker cancels — and every printed sign in the building is now wrong.

DSD supplied freestanding screens through the venue carrying zone identification, session listings and direction. When the programme moves, the signs move with it, from one place, immediately.

The screens also give the organiser something print never does: sponsor and housekeeping content in the gaps between listings.
