Outdoor Bar

An outdoor LED screen in a bar’s yard — a screen that still works at three on a bright afternoon, which is when the matches are.

The project

What the job was

Every bar with a beer garden wants to show sport outside, and almost every attempt fails for the same reason: a projector or an indoor television cannot be seen in daylight, and kick-off is at three in the afternoon.

LED is the only format that solves it. DSD supplied the outdoor screen for the yard — weatherproof, daylight-rated, bright enough that a rainy afternoon and a bright one both work.

Outside the fixture list it is the bar’s own advertising: food service, upcoming acts, the next big match.
