Town-Street Stage Build

A full stage, screen and PA built on a working town street — road closed in the afternoon, show at eight, street back to normal by morning.

At a glance

What the job involved, and what it had to work around.

The project

What the job was

A street is not a venue. It has a camber, a bus route, shopfronts that need access, residents above them, and a closure order with an hour written on it. Everything that makes a field easy is missing.

DSD builds the whole thing inside that window: a roofed stage levelled to the road camber, an LED screen, PA aimed to cover the crowd without pointing into first-floor windows, lighting, barriers, and the traffic management that lets it all happen.

The measure of the job is not how it looked at eight. It is that the street opened on time the next morning.
