Ryanair

A stage set and screens built inside a live airport terminal — an event space assembled around passengers who are trying to catch a flight.

The project

What the job was

An airport terminal is the least forgiving venue there is. It never closes, it is full of people with a deadline, security governs everything that comes through the door, and nothing can obstruct a route.

DSD built the set inside those constraints: staging and screens carrying route and destination content, assembled and struck in windows that did not interfere with terminal operations, and laid out so passenger flow was never impeded.

The destination imagery does the selling, which in an airport is the one message everybody in the room is already receptive to.
