Combat sport is staged in the round, which changes everything. There is no back of house behind the action, no single good sightline to design for, and the lighting has to hit a canvas from above without blinding the corners.
DSD built the arena: the cage and its surround, the seating bowl, the screens carrying fighter graphics and replays, and a lighting rig aimed at the centre rather than at a stage.
The screens matter more here than at most events. In the round, half the room is always behind the action — the screen is how they see the finish.
